About Chordna

The AI-powered music encyclopedia that decodes the DNA of every song.

Our Mission

Chordna was built for musicians, music students, and curious listeners who want to go beyond just hearing a song — and truly understand it. Our goal is to provide the deepest, most accurate musical analysis available for any track: chords, harmony, structure, history, and playing tips, all in one place.

Music is a universal language, and we believe everyone deserves the tools to learn it. Whether you're a guitarist trying to nail a riff, a producer studying arrangement techniques, or simply someone who wants to know why a song makes them feel a certain way — Chordna is your encyclopedia.

How We Build Our Content

MusicBrainz

The world's largest open music metadata database. We use MusicBrainz to retrieve accurate artist, album, and track information — release dates, genres, musicianship, and more.

Last.fm

Popularity signals, listener statistics, and community tags from Last.fm help us surface the most relevant songs and contextualize each track within the broader musical landscape.

Gemini AI

Google's Gemini AI analyzes the musical structure of each song — chord progressions, harmonic analysis, song sections, and contextual insights — to generate the in-depth content that makes Chordna unique.

Data Sources & Accuracy

AI-Generated Analysis

Our musical analyses are generated by AI and should be treated as educational references. While we strive for accuracy, chord charts and harmonic analyses may contain errors. We continuously improve our models and welcome feedback from the community.

Song metadata (titles, artists, release dates) is sourced from MusicBrainz under the Open Database License (ODbL). Popularity data is sourced from Last.fm's API.
